This will be the third year for a US championship for drum majors competing in the “Scottish” style. All competitors are welcome. This championship is presented by the Sacramento Valley Scottish Games and Festival and the Western United States Pipe Band Association.
The following is information for the 2012 year’s event:
Rules
All decisions of the Judge/s and Chairperson are final.
There must be at least one more competitor than the number of prizes awarded unless the Judge
thinks the prize is warranted.
Competitors not on hand when called will forfeit entry fee in event.
Aggregate winners will be determined by allocated points for all possible events.
Drum Majors judging will be based on W.U.S.P.B.A. rules.
Prizes
This is a 2-day event. Each day is a separate competition with medals and prize money up to 4th
place. The championship and overall winner is the results of the highest point totals for the 2-days.
SENIORS: $125/1st

JUNIORS: $75/1st

United States Scottish Championship: $500 + “take home” award. Your name and date will be added to
the championship mace.

Entry form needs to be received by April 15th. Field entries will be accepted prior to 10:00am on the day of competition.
